Rick Bayers has been a fine art painter for over thirty years. Although fluent in all paint mediums, Mr. Bayers has mastered traditional oil painting
techniques and specializes in portraits and American landscapes. He offers group workshops and individual painting lessons for beginning through advanced
artists. Buckcreek Studio, his private gallery and working studio, is located on the grounds of his private residence in Festus, Missouri.
I wish everyone could experience the sheer happiness and euphoria I have when I paint. Only those who are truly blessed with this passion can know
what I am talking about. I lay excited at night in anticipation, thinking about my paintings. The smell of linseed oil and turpentine are like an opiate
to me. What's amazing is this sensational feeling is as strong today as it was when I first picked up my brush almost 30 years ago. In every one of my
paintings you will see, in one form or another, this incredible and sincere approach to my work.
