Studio Workshop

A 1-day workshop at Buckcreek Studio, Festus, MO

Limit 5 students per session

Following are the main areas of concentration for the workshop:

• Discussions on oil paints, mediums and surfaces
  • We will also discuss different techniques in painting with oils
• Subject selection and working from photographs
• Lighting and color
• Building form, texture, and volume
• Critiquing, professional presentation/framing and photographing your finished work

Throughout the course of this workshop, we will work on still life paintings provided in a studio environment. Depending on our progress, we will paint at least two different still life compositions. We will also work on one painting from a photograph provided by you, or from my library. You can expect to have three paintings completed at the end of the workshop.

The studio workshop will be held at Buckcreek Studio in Festus, MO. There are several accommodations and restaurants to select from in the greater St. Louis area if you are coming from out of town.
